The Blue Connect member portal allows you to manage your plan, look up how much a procedure may cost, get real-time claims status details, see your spending toward your deductible and out-of-pocket limits, and discover extra perks.
Find your claims, explanation of benefits (EOBs), forms, letters, and plan documents.
Easily make payments online, or save time and energy by signing up for AutoPay.
Enroll in paperless delivery, verify your information, or update how we contact you.
Search for in-network doctors, hospitals, urgent care centers, and prescription drugs.
Chat with or send a secure message to our customer support team.

In just a few clicks, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) members can register for their Blue Connect member portal and access their benefits on the go.

In your Blue Connect member portal, you have exclusive access to wellness programs any time you need them. These programs include:
- Nurse support
- Lifestyle coaching
- Nutritional counseling
- Mental health services

Now that you've registered for Blue Connect, be sure to download the Blue Connect Mobile NC app.
With our mobile app, you'll get access to even more features:
- Add your member ID card to your mobile wallet via Apple Wallet® or Google Wallet™.
- Access secure in-app messaging and chat with customer support.
- Log in with your mobile device using Face ID™ or Touch ID™.1
Download the mobile app for iOS and Android devices. You can sign in with AppleTouch ID, Android Fingerprint ID or Apple Face ID.1
Yes. To add your digital ID card to your Apple Wallet® or Google Wallet® :
Step 1: Log in to your Blue Connect℠ app on your mobile device.
Step 2: Tap "ID card" from the home page.
Step 3: Tap “Add to Apple Wallet®” or “Add to Google Wallet®.”
Yes. You can pay your monthly premium bill online.
You can log in to Blue Connect to make a payment or set up automatic payments. You or an authorized representative or caregiver can also make a payment without an account by paying as a guest.
Accepted payment methods are:
- Bank draft
- Credit card
- Debit card
- PayPal
- Venmo
- Apple Pay or Google Pay (using a supported mobile device)
Visit HealthCare.gov to cancel any plans purchased there.
If you purchased the plan somewhere other than HealthCare.gov, you can ask to cancel that plan by sending us a secure message in Blue Connect℠.
To cancel a plan through a secure message:
Step 1: Log in to Blue Connect
Step 2: If you're using a desktop, click "Contact us" from the home page. If you're using a mobile device or using the app, tap the menu icon and then "Contact us."
Step 3: Select "Secure email."
Step 4: Select "Compose" to open a new message.
Step 5: Select "Cancel My Plan" as the topic of your message.
You can also call the customer service number on the back of your member ID card for help.
If you get health coverage through an employer:
- Contact your group administrator or HR department to make changes to your account.
- Get an Enrollment and Change Application from Customer Service (call the number on the back of your member ID card) or through your employer. Complete sections A and B.
If you buy your own health coverage:
- Log in to Blue Connect℠ to update your contact information when your address, cell phone number, or email address changes.
- Or contact Customer Service for help by calling the number on the back of your member ID card.
An insurance card from Blue Cross NC looks like the below:

Keep this card with you. It's your identification that says, "I am a Blue Cross NC member." You'll need to show it every time you visit an emergency room, urgent care center or health care provider. And, the back of your card has several important phone numbers to use when you need help.
Are you already a member?
On Blue Connect℠, your member portal, you can see, download and print your member ID card, and order new ones. Replacement cards are typically mailed to your home address within 10 business days. Simply log in to Blue Connect or call Customer Service at 877-258-3334.
Member ID cards are not available for expired or cancelled policies.
