Did you know that many family planning services are covered as preventive care at no extra cost to you?3 They include screenings for:

Breastfeeding support and lactation counseling
Need help with breastfeeding? You have access to nursing and lactation counseling providers who can help with nursing positions, milk supply concerns, and more.1Services are provided by obstetricians, midwives, and delivery centers.

You go through a lot physically and emotionally during pregnancy and after baby arrives. It's OK to need support. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, or just need somebody to talk to, we provide access to resources that can help.
Personalized support for moms
Available on some Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) plans, the Progyny pregnancy and postpartum program offers care that supports you from the early days of pregnancy to your transition to parenthood.
Pelvic physical therapy
Pregnancy and childbirth take a toll on your body. Some Blue Cross NC plans have access to Hinge Health, which offers eligible members a cost-free way to relieve pelvic pain and issues related to pregnancy at home through personalized virtual therapy.4
As you start your family planning journey, you'll want to know what's covered and not covered in your Blue Cross NC plan. Check your Benefit Booklet on your Blue Connect℠ member portal, and look for the “Family Planning” section.1

Breast pump savings
Did you know you can get a breast pump at no additional cost?3 You can get this benefit during your third trimester of pregnancy or after your baby arrives.
