Upcoming Changes for City of New York Retirees
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) wants to share with our network providers benefit changes for the City of New York Retirees effective January 1, 2022. You may have rendered care in the past to a member(s) who is covered under this group and living in North Carolina as this group currently has.
NYC Medicare Advantage Plus members will have access to Blue Cross NC Medicare Advantage PPO Network Sharing effective January 1. As a participating Medicare Advantage PPO provider, you are considered in-network for these members. You will be reimbursed based on your Medicare Advantage contract with the local Blue Plan. You can verify eligibility and benefits online through your local Blue Provider portal or by calling BlueCard Eligibility at 800-676-BLUE (2583).
Beginning January 1, 2022, all claims for NYC Medicare Advantage Plus members should be filed to your local Blue Plan using the prefix N6Y.
