Medicare Advantage and Experience Health is Moving to a New an Improved Explanation of Benefits (EOB) Monthly Report for Members

In order to support our member experience and make understanding health care and health insurance easier, we have made some changes to our Medicare Advantage Explanation of Benefits (EOB) Monthly Report. Members will start to receive the new design in their mailboxes in February 2023.   

Some examples of the changes made include (See sample image below):  

  • Simplified Language 
  • Visually appealing color design 
  • Improved readability 
  • Clear view of claims and costs  
  • Illustrated value and savings Blue Cross provides the member 
  • Clarified next steps for the member to take

Medicare Members can view and download EOBs by logging in or registering and going to the “Claims” section.  Experience Health Members can view and download EOBs by logging in or registering at Experience Health for Members and going to the “Claims” section.   

We want you to be aware of this change as your Blue Cross NC Medicare Advantage patients may bring in one of the new EOBs or mention it during an office visit.  If a patient has a specific question about the information on an EOB, please advise them to call Blue Cross NC at the customer service number listed on their member ID card.
