Access to care standards

 

    Through its Physician Advisory Group and Quality Improvement Committee, Blue Cross and Blue Shield North Carolina has established Access to Care Standards so that you'll know you can get the care you need, when you need it. Blue Cross NC and Blue Cross NC contracting physicians are committed to meeting these standards in order to provide the best service possible. If you have any questions about these standards, please call the Customer Service number on your ID card.

    Primary care standards

    Urgent care standards

    Through its Physician Advisory Group and Quality Improvement Committee, Blue Cross NC has established Urgent Care Facility and Medical Record Standards so that you'll know you can get the quality care you need. Blue Cross NC and Blue Cross NC contracting physicians are committed to meeting these standards in order to provide the best service possible.

    Blue Cross NC member rights and responsibilities

By clearly defining the rights and responsibilities of our insured members, we hope to encourage a spirit of understanding and cooperation between our members, our providers and ourselves, as your healthcare company.

    The following statement of Member Rights and Responsibilities is our promise to deliver the healthcare our members need in an effective and timely manner, as well as members' roles in requesting and receiving that care.
