Upcoming Provider Training for Post Service Appeals Self-Service Capabilities within our Provider Portal, Care Affiliate

 

Originally posted in this recent provider news, effective December 9, 2024, Blue Cross NC is happy to announce we are introducing new functionality within our Provider Portal, Care Affiliate, to automate post service provider appeals requests and to reduce the need for faxes and phone calls.

 

The new functionality will:

  • Automate the creation of provider appeal requests.
  • Provide immediate confirmation of appeal receipt.
  • Streamline documentation submission. 

Advantages include: 

  • Improved visibility of appeal status.
  • Eliminate the need for mailed correspondence, faxes, and phone calls. 
  • Reduced time and administrative burden for providers in having to complete paperwork.
  • Electronic attachment of forms, records, and supporting documentation.

 A step-by-step training video will be available and shared prior to implementation in Blue e under Resources.   

Additionally, we encourage all providers to attend a post implementation session to address any questions specific to the Provider Portal.
