Prescribers Must Resubmit Prior Authorization for Specialty Drugs Assigned to Accredo Specialty Pharmacy
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is pleased that Accredo Specialty Pharmacy will rejoin the Blue Cross NC specialty pharmacy network and support our work to keep specialty drugs as affordable as possible for our members, effective January 1, 2024.
On September 30, 2023, Accredo's specialty pharmacy network contract expired, triggering provider-administered specialty drug prior authorizations that were assigned to Accredo to expire on December 31, 2023.
Providers must resubmit an authorization for these medications.
