BlueCard Medicare Advantage claims transition to Facets system
Beginning August 2023, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) will begin transitioning BlueCard℠ Medicare Advantage claims processing from the Power MHS/Amisys system to the Facets system.
What You Need to Know
- Two years of historical claims will be migrated from Power MHS/Amisys to Facets system to process any incoming adjustments
- Claims will begin issuing a revised formatted Explanation of Payments (EOP) from the Facets system.
- Providers will not be asked to do anything for this migration. This announcement is only to keep you informed.
Please note: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC will be moving all Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement claims to the Facets system. This transition is tentatively scheduled for January 1, 2024. More details will be available closer to the transition date.
