The North Carolina state application in the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) provider data portal was updated on April 13, 2026. To help prevent delays in credentialing and ensure your application is complete, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) providers must re-attest to the updated application prior to their next CAQH attestation date or recredentialing date, whichever comes first.
What’s new
- Section C - Professional Information (Question 10) includes revised disclosure language:
“Do you currently have any medical, behavioral, or mental health conditions that adversely affect your ability to practice medicine or surgery or to perform the essential functions of your position?”
- Providers selecting “Yes” must complete the updated Supplemental Question No. 10.
What you need to do
- Review and complete all required questions during your next CAQH attestation OR prior to your recredentialing due date.
- Submit the supplemental disclosure form when applicable to ensure a complete application.
