Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) achieved a 99.6% overall score in its 2026 National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) reaccreditation.1 This places Blue Cross NC among top-performing accredited health plans and reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality, member-centered care.
This achievement reflects strong alignment with providers on shared priorities, including clinical quality (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set [HEDIS]), patient experience (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems [CAHPS]), and the continued advancement of evidence-based, coordinated care. Ongoing collaboration across the provider network is essential to sustaining and improving these outcomes.
Every three years, NCQA, an independent organization, evaluates health plans against rigorous standards across six core performance areas that matter most to patients, employers and communities,2 and establishes accreditation as the health care industry’s gold standard for performance. These areas include:
- Quality Management and Improvement
- Population Health Management
- Network Management
- Utilization Management
- Credentialing and Recredentialing
- Member Experience
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality care to our members.
