Upcoming Provider Training for Prior-Authorization Self-Service Capabilities within our Provider Portal, Care Affiliate
As we announced in this recent provider news, effective December 9, 2024, Blue Cross NC is introducing new functionality within our Provider Portal, Care Affiliate, to enhance the existing prior authorization process that providers are accustomed to using.
The new functionality will:
- Enable providers to quickly determine if prior authorization is required.
- Provide an automated, evidence-based system to facilitate the prior authorization process.
Advantages include:
- Faster determinations for providers.
- Reduce the need for mailed correspondence, faxes, and phone calls.
- Reduce the need to check the Blue Cross NC Prior Plan Approval List.
We have numerous dates and times available to register for our provider training sessions. Please register for one of the time slots below. Training sessions will last approximately an hour.
