Reminder: Claim Billing Reminder
As a reminder, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) has an existing Laboratory Procedures Medical Policy that states codes 80320-80377 are not separately reimbursable as they are to be filed as part of a drug panel such as G0480.
Blue Cross NC also has an existing Bundling Guidelines Reimbursement Policy that states codes S0280-S0281 are not separately reimbursable services. When filing claims to Blue Cross NC, providers are required to submit these services using Evaluation and Management codes, such as 99212-99215.
Moving forward, these codes will no longer be separately reimbursed.
