- Do not submit multi-specialty taxonomy values, specifically taxonomy code 193200000X, in the "NM1*82 Rendering Provider" level of the 837 professional file.
- If taxonomy is used at the "NM1*82 Rendering Provider" level, please use a code indicating a specific specialty, rather than a multi-specialty.
- For Blue e entries, the specific taxonomy code should be entered in field 24 J.
