Hearing benefits
Taking care of your hearing is important. The TruHearing® plan covers one hearing aid, per ear, per year for a low copayment:
- $699 for TruHearing Advanced hearing aids
- $999 for TruHearing Premium hearing aids
As part of the TruHearing program, a licensed provider will consult with you about your hearing aid options that best fit your lifestyle and needs.

About your policy
Your policy is your insurance contract. Log in to the member portal on Blue Connect to read your policy and understand your rights and duties and those belonging to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC).
Blue Medicare Supplement plans have some limitations and exclusions. For example, Blue Cross NC does not provide benefits for services, supplies or charges that are:
- Not Medicare-eligible expenses under the Medicare program unless otherwise noted
- Incurred prior to the effective date of coverage, including any expenses when a subscriber is an inpatient on the effective date of coverage
- Payable under Medicare
If you're enrolled in a plan, you'll receive a policy and outline of coverage that will contain detailed information about your plan benefits, exclusions, and limations. Your policy is your insurance contract. Please read your policy to understand all your rights and duties and those belonging to Blue Cross NC.
