Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is introducing additional provider self-services enhancements within Care Affiliate on February 26, 2025. As a reminder, the new functionality within Care Affiliate offers enhancements to continue to support our provider community, including:

Phase 1 (Pre-Check): Implemented December 9, 2024

  • Enables providers to quickly determine if prior authorization is required.
  • Directs providers to third-party vendors when appropriate.

Phase 2 (Cite AutoAuth): Go-Live February 26, 2025

  • Provides an automated, evidence-based system to facilitate the prior authorization process.
  • Allows providers to receive faster determinations.

To better help providers navigate the changes, we are offering a series of upcoming webinars. Please review the information below for details and registration information. Each session will last approximately one hour.
