Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is excited to announce two new features coming to Blue e on December 3, 2025. These enhancements are designed to improve our provider’s experience and help streamline support.
Providers will have access to a more detailed and user-friendly claim status view directly within Blue e. This claim status view mirrors the information currently provided through Provider Support phone calls, allowing providers to:
- View comprehensive claim details in real-time
- Reduce the need to call for claim status updates
- Save time and improve workflow efficiency
In addition, we’re introducing live chat support as a faster, more convenient way for providers to connect with our Provider Customer Service team. Through Blue e, users can initiate a chat session to receive help with:
- Benefits and Eligibility questions
- Claims-related inquiries
At this time, the new chat support will not be available for inquiries related to the Federal Employee Program (FEP).
