As part of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) NCQA accreditation requirements, the Provider Network Operations and Strategy department will be conducting an annual assessment of its provider directories for:
- Accuracy of office locations and phone numbers
- Hospital affiliations
- Accepting new patients
- Awareness among physician office staff regarding their physician / group practice participation in Blue Cross NC networks
In August, Blue Cross NC will email a survey link to a randomly selected group of providers. The survey will be sent from Blue Cross NC Provider Outreach (provideroutreach@bcbsnc.com) and take less than two minutes to complete.
The results of the survey will be used to fulfill Blue Cross NC’s NCQA Network Management standards and identify future opportunities for improving directory accuracy.
