Blue Cross NC conducts 2024 annual NCQA provider assessment for directory

As part of Blue Cross NC’s NCQA accreditation requirements, the Provider Network Operations department will be conducting an annual assessment of its provider directories for:

  • accuracy of office locations and phone numbers
  • accuracy of hospital affiliations
  • accuracy of accepting new patients

In addition, the assessment will evaluate physician office staff awareness of physician’s participation in Blue Cross NC’s networks. 

During the month of August, Blue Cross NC will send a random sample of providers an email with a survey link. The survey will take less than two minutes to complete. The results of the survey will be used to fulfill Blue Cross NC’s NCQA network management standards and identify future opportunities for improving directory accuracy.
