One Fax Number for All Blue Medicare Part D Rx Coverage Requests

There is now one fax number to use for all Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) Blue Medicare^SM Part D prescription drug coverage determinations or exception requests. The primary fax number is 1-888-446-8535.

The old prescription drug plan fax number (1-888-446-8440) will be eliminated after January 1. Please remove the old fax number from any lists you maintain for your office, and update your lists with the new primary fax number. Not all Blue Medicare Part D fax forms available on our website will have the new fax number on them, so please make sure you’re using the new primary fax number of 1-888-446-8535.

Please note this new fax number is only for Blue Medicare Part D requests. Please continue to use the fax numbers you use today for Blue Medicare medical benefit prior authorization requests.
