Due to the low volume of calls received in the early evening hours from both members and providers, we are changing our customer service hours of operation for our commercial lines of business effective July 6, 2015.
The new provider customer service hours for the Provider Blue LineSM (1-800-214-4844) as of July 6 will be:
- Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Fridays: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Please note that Blue eSM is available from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., seven days a week. We encourage you to use this convenient online resource for all of your member-related eligibility, basic benefits, claim status, and admission notification questions.
By shifting our customer service personnel resources to peak call times, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) will be able to provide quicker and more effective service to our members and providers.
