In just a few clicks, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) members can register for their member portal and access their benefits on the go.
In your member portal, you have exclusive access to wellness programs any time you need them. These programs include:
- Nurse support
- Lifestyle coaching
- Nutritional counseling
- Mental health services
Now that you've registered for the member portal, be sure to download the mobile app.
With our mobile app, you'll get access to even more features:
- Add your member ID card to your mobile wallet via Apple Wallet® or Google Wallet™.
- Access secure in-app messaging and chat with customer support.
- Log in with your mobile device using Face ID™ or Touch ID™.1
Download the mobile app for iOS and Android devices. You can sign in with AppleTouch ID, Android Fingerprint ID, or Apple Face ID.1
Yes. To add your digital ID card to your Apple Wallet® or Google Wallet®:
- Step 1: Log in to the Blue Cross NC member portal app on your mobile device.
- Step 2: Select ID card from your account menu.
- Step 3: Select Add to Apple Wallet® or Add to Google Wallet® under the image of the ID card.
Yes. You can pay your monthly premium bill online.
You can log in to the Blue Cross NC member portal to make a payment or set up automatic payments. You or an authorized representative or caregiver can also make a payment without an account by paying as a guest.
Accepted payment methods are bank draft, credit card, debit card, PayPal, Venmo, and Apple Pay or Google Pay (using a supported mobile device).
If you purchased your plan on HealthCare.gov, you can cancel your plan there.
If you purchased the plan somewhere other than HealthCare.gov, you can ask to cancel that plan by sending us a secure message in the Blue Cross NC member portal.
To cancel a plan through a secure message:
- Step 1: Log in to the member portal
- Step 2: If you're using a desktop, click Contact us from the home page. If you're using a mobile device or using the app, tap the menu icon and then Contact us.
- Step 3: Select Secure Email.
- Step 4: Select Compose to open a new message.
- Step 5: Select Cancel My Plan as the topic of your message.
You can also call the customer service number on the back of your member ID card for help.
If you get health coverage through an employer and need to change the name or address on your account:
- Contact your group administrator or HR department to make changes to your account.
- Ask for an Enrollment and Change Application from customer service by calling the number on the back of your member ID card or through your employer. Complete sections A and B.
If you buy your own health coverage and need to change the name or address on your account:
- Log in to the Blue Cross NC member portal to update your contact information
- Contact customer service for help by calling the number on the back of your member ID card.
You can see, download, and print your member ID card in the Blue Cross NC member portal by logging in and selecting ID Card from the menu in the top right corner.
Depending on your plan, you can also order a new physical card by logging in to the member portal, selecting ID Card from the menu in the top right corner, and then selecting Request New ID Card. You can also call customer service at 877-258-3334. Replacement cards are typically mailed to your home address within 10 business days.
Member ID cards are not available for expired or canceled policies.
