Lisa Cade is Chief Service Operations Officer for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and has extensive experience in both company operations and our relationships with health care providers. In her current role, Lisa is responsible for service for both our commercial and government customers, including our call centers, claims processing, service quality, and other functions.
Previously she served as Vice President of Network Management, were she was responsible for contracting, servicing and creating strategic partnerships with providers in North Carolina. She has also served as Vice President of the Federal Programs Group.
Lisa has over twenty years of experience in the managed care business. She has extensive background in negotiating and educating managed care provider networks in North Carolina in addition to her operational experience. Prior to joining BCBSNC, Lisa was with United HealthCare for six years where she headed up provider network contracting and servicing, credentialing, EDI and the provider set up system.
Lisa serves on the Board of Make-A-Wish for Eastern North Carolina and Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare.
Lisa holds a BS degree from James Madison University in Psychology and Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Public Health Administration from the University of South Carolina.
