Latisha Hamilton-Williams

Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer

Latisha Hamilton-Williams is the Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC). Latisha leads the human resources division and oversees the company’s People Strategies, Total Rewards and Shared Services, People Analytics and HR Technology, Enterprise Learning and Development, Internal Communications and Employment Brand and Talent Management. Latisha assumed her role in November 2022, returning to Blue Cross NC after two other senior human resources leadership roles.

Latisha is a proven and experienced leader who has more than 25 years of leadership and business experience across multiple industries including health care, manufacturing, retail operations, financial and insurance services. She has excelled throughout her career at recruiting and retaining diverse, engaged teams, executing and leading complex business initiatives, and championing organizational transformation.

Latisha is a North Carolina native who joined Blue Cross NC from Bridgestone Americas, Inc., where she served as the Senior Vice President of Total Rewards and HR Operations, leading design, development, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of Total Rewards and HR Operations. In this role, Latisha influenced key investments and initiatives that supported the attraction, engagement, and retention of employees, while ensuring compensation and benefits offerings are cost-effective and aligned with business strategy. Prior to her position at Bridgestone, she oversaw the Total Rewards, HR Operations, and HR M&A for all employees at Amedisys, Inc. as Senior Vice President, Total Rewards.

In addition, Latisha worked at Blue Cross NC for nearly 11 years from 2004 until 2015 in roles including the Director of Human Resources Operations and Analytics, Vice President of Human Resources Support Services, and Vice President of Total Rewards and People Services. She provided leadership and direction to the Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, HR Communications, and Employee Relations functions.

As a passionate supporter of community organizations in North Carolina and Tennessee, Latisha is with a member of the Tocqueville Society at the United Way of Greater Nashville, Baron Society Member at the National Museum of African American Music, and Women Now in Nashville. She is also a member of the Ivy Community Foundation of Cary Inc., North Carolina A & T State University’s Board of Visitors and previous member of board member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Triangle.

Latisha holds a degree in accounting from North Carolina A&T State University.
